Think the Praiseful

Text: Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Friends, we must learn to tame our minds to positive thoughts because they a huge influence to every part of our being. Our text of today has given us hints on how to handle the troubles that are predominant today which involves developing and engaging our thoughts to things that are pure and praiseful. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Remember, God has given us peace without measure, so we must keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus as to think praiseful. We have received several benefits from God, but for us to enjoy the fullness of it, we need to adjust our minds to good and useful reports. So,1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. And it begins from the pieces of information we take in as news. We should not miss the good as we are in control of our thoughts rather filter and trash the negative stories that are around us today.

Unfortunately, the things which are characterized as pure are always in scarcity, therefore learn to surround yourself with people of like minds. We should always enlighten our minds with useful reports. Our minds should not be filled with worry, anxiety, or fear, but should be calm, quiet, and untroubled. Job 3:25- For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. Learn to fix your hearts on right things and as we meditate on lovely reports. There are a lot of uncertainties which we occupy our minds with on a daily basis, but instead, we should learn to think and put into practice things which are the best and not the worst; the beautiful and not the ugly; the praises and not the curses. And this is how we can think praiseful by God’s grace in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1) Oh Lord, may I intentional occupy my ears with good news, as I consciously guide and keep my minds with words of honour in Jesus name.

Action Quote: Remember to surround your minds with godly virtue as to avoid evil
