Be Strong in Him.

 

Text: Matthew 4:10-11 (KJV)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Friends, we have a responsibility to build our confidence in the almighty as to stand the storms of the present age. Yes, there will be a time of weakness when your faith will go through discouragement. At this time we must remember, it is not by power nor by might but by God’s divine energy that sustains us.   It is not experience or expertise, nor knowledge strength, not even physical power that we are moving with. Indeed, we live and move by the strength of the almighty. Proverb3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Therefore, your strength has to grow if you will not be polluted this season. There are a lot of sources where people are getting their energy in life but Paul is advising us this morning let ours be from the original source because there are alternatives littered around us but with several challenges. In fact, there are evil days which is here within us, so we need to put on the God’s armour for His strength to soar in the eagles wings.

Interestingly, our connections has limit at which we can go, it cannot carry us for life because it is not supernatural. The grace and the energy we move daily should be from the Lord that is why we are encouraged to build up our faith before the floods of life sweeps us up. Colossians 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. We should not lean on our own understanding, it will fail you rather we should determine to engage God’s strength that works inside and out for that purpose to find fulfilment.  So, we shall not change our mind from following after the strength of the Lord despite the weakness that threatens our pursuit today. May God help us in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1)       Father, grant us grace to build up our most holy faith in prayers and thanksgiving in the Holy Ghost for inner confidence in the Lord in Jesus name.
