Bear Joy as a fruit

 

Text: Joel 1:12 (KJV)

The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because Joy is withered away from the sons of men.

Friends, Joy is melting away in the society as many are living in pain.  We are in a season when our joy is being tested and causing depression with several discomfort today. So, don’t watch it to shrink rather you have to grow your joy.  The seed you plant and the source of the root determines the expected from that tree. So, if we must bear this fruit of the spirit named joy, we must plant the seed of His presence. It is the seed of Jesus inside of you that generates the fruit of Joy. We can still express a feeling of delight and jubilation despite the challenging season. This is an atmosphere that evokes and bears what we desire as success. Psalms 30:5b- Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning.

Interestingly, this kind of Joy we are talking about is very special, and can be activated from within. It is based on what we carry and who we represent. It becomes possible to woke up with Joy unspeakable even without any tangible evidence in your hands. Nehemiah 8:10b- For this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the Joy of the Lord is your strength. Therefore, we have a part to play by being a mobile carrier of His presence. This is what activate the overflow of Joy even when the environment is toxic. We can’t buy it but can grow it from the source. Psalms 16:11- Thou shall shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of Joy; at thy right hand, there are pleasures for evermore. So, once this is activated, the other fruits of the Spirit begins to shine. It is an all-round experience in any field of life. I pray God will turn our mourning today into dancing in Jesus name.
