Text: Philippians 4:4, 6(KJV)
4Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say Rejoice.
6Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Welcome to the new month of September.
Beloved,
it is time we live a lifestyle of rejoicing as many people tend to find it much
easier to grumble, complain, and worry all on a daily basis. We are meant to be
thankful and rejoice as we reflect on our life journey. It is always said, “If
you cannot think, you cannot thank”. We are meant to have our hearts fixed on
God, and learn to count our blessings one by one and not generalizing them like
we always do. If you think it is difficult to do, stop for a second to think
about the great works God has done in your life this past season, like you are
alive to read this blog, you are with your family, you are in your house or at
your workplace and not in the hospital, and if you are in the hospital, you
have eyes to read this blog. You also have food to eat, and if you do not have
food, you have someone who God has sent to feed you today. We should always be
grateful and rejoice because that is all God wants from us. Philippians 3:1- Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To
write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is
safe.Let us remember
to be glad continually, and by doing this, it becomes a lifestyle for the rest
of the month.
This attitude of rejoicing is a
precious gift that God has given to us, so we should not shut that door in our
lives, but instead embrace it. So many things have happened without our
knowledge, it all happened behind the scene, but we should be happy and rejoice
in Him because He intentionally hid all of those things from us. If we take a
moment to think about the mind-blowing things, He has done for us, we will
rejoice even more. The amazing part is, no matter the things that are not
working; there are still quite a number of them He has perfected, so we should
be sincere with thanksgiving because He has brought us this far. Romans 12:12-
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayers. Again,
it says in1
Thessalonians 5:16- Rejoice evermore. And also, in1 Thessalonians
5:18- In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you. Remember, God’s presence is there again with you for
the rest of the year. So, rejoice my brothers and sisters. GRUMBLE NO MORE BUT
REJOICE ALWAYS TO ATTRACT GOOD OF THE SEASON.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Thank God for another new month and I pray
Joy and Rejoicing will not cease but stay with us as a lifestyle in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, rejoicing is contagious, so influence your cycle of
friends with this good virtue.
