Awake to Singing

 

Text: Psalms 40:3 (KJV)

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

Friends, what do you wake up daily with as a lifestyle?  Do you wake into your gadgets or you wake into God’s presence with worship? It is a privilege and not just a norm, because many might have had plans for today, but it is to no avail because none of those things matter anymore. As believers, we are meant to wake up with a new song as a greeting to God. We have this custom where a child wakes upto greet their parents, the same way it is for us as children of God. Thisgreeting is possible by reflecting on His wonders in your life. Psalms 3:5- I laid me down and slept; I awaked for the Lord sustained me. The greatest wonder among all of them is the gift of life, it is not the money or the food. This new song is not an anyhow songand we are meant to sing it joyfully and loudly. Psalms 33:3- Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.Let’s learn to SING LOUD because He has done LOUD MIRACLES as to unlock and sustain that miracle. 

Interestingly, God, has done many wonderful things this season, so we should be grateful for them. If you cannot think of one, He has brought you out of the horrible pit and from miry and slippery clay. Do not forget His wonders to you so quickly. He basically delivered you from that situation you are in, so sing that song to Him as it can turn situations around also. It is an effortless and noiseless song where you abandon all to God in frankness, which is unexplainable.  It is the one that makes people wonder, “what kind of God is he/she serving?” Matthew 8:27- But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this……Isaiah42:10- Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.This new song is also the one that can convert that your long prayer requests to a testimony. It is never too late to start singing from where you are right now and you will see all your prayers become testimonies in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.      Oh Lord, please cause our new song to flow from a heart of reflective worship that will influence our atmosphere for Christin Jesus name.
