Activate your JOY

 

Text: Joel 1:12 (KJV)

The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because Joy is withered away from the sons of men.

Have you realized that in our society today, Joy is fading away? The reason for this is because most people find Joy on worldly things, instead of in Jesus. We have a great privilege in Him, but we can only experience this if we understand the concept behind activatingJoy as a fruit of the Spirit. Joy is one of the fruits we bear as we walk and are led by His spirit. It is a benefit we freely enjoy in Him and we can all use in these current situations, pains, and afflictions of life. In the world of today. The truth is that when your Joy is attacked, every other thing begins to dry up. Joy is a divinevirtue, and we must learn to create an environment where we can express our Joy in either singing, dancing, praying in known or unknown tongues, or the word. Psalms 30:5b- Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning.

Interestingly. the kind of Joy we are talking about is very special, and it is not the one you experience when your bank account is fat or whatever the case may be. This kind of Joy, is the one when you wake up, and you ask yourself - Why amI so joyful? This can only be experienced if you have access to Jesus.  it is even more contagious than any virus. It is an in-flow of the presence ofHis spirit. This kind of Joy is not MOTIVATIONAL but it is ACTIVATIONAL, and it can cure and give strength to any situation of life. Nehemiah 8:10b- For this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the Joy of the Lord is your strength. We can only have access to thisstrength if we are connected to the source of Joy, which is Jesus; we need to desire it.So, remember, your situation is changing now, and testimony will spring forth because of this everlasting Joy we are experiencing in Him.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Father, please may our Joynot wither in this season despite all the negative happenings in our world and news in the media, in Jesus name.
