Delight to Meditate

 

Text: Psalm1:2(KJV)

But his delight is in the law of the Lord: and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

What really gives you pleasure on daily bases will determine where your attention is drawn to. For David the scripture above, says he delight in the law of the Lord and by so doing you observe to do according to all that is written therein. Remember, what you enjoy doing will always return you a point of focus. You need to enjoy to ready, study, meditate on the word of God as a way of life. You should have no special time rather day and night becomes an opportunity to draw to the scriptures. The word of God should thrill you and not get you bored in fellowship. It should be a habitual life style dwelling at the perfect word of liberty. Ask yourself, what makes you happy or gets you excited? This will make you place importance to the word of God. You should not be“self centered” to be happy rather be“word centred” for you to be truly satisfied. Friends, there is no paradise anywhere without the word of God.Psalm 119:35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

 Interestingly, the best attitude is not just to hear the word, but ponder and think through the word that will help to extract the juice of the word for useful engagement. The whole purpose is to empty the mind from negative thought and fill it with positive feelings as we chew the word and extract the sweetness into our heart for daily out come. Act on this today in Jesus name.
