Text: Ruth 1:20 (KJV)
And she said unto them,
Call me not Naomi, call me Mara; for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with
me.
It is an empty month and what you call
it determines what you experience. For
Naomi, she said don’t call me sweetness but call me Mara because her experiences
changed her original name to bitterness. She reintroduced herself with a wrong
identity which many do today because of issues of life. It is not even a name give
to her by people rather she gave herself a toxic name out of negative challenge. Friends, it is a new month that is pregnant
with goodies and creative miracles, so we should be careful so we don’t rename
our lives because of past negative encounters. Remember, for some, friends gave them a bad
name but for Naomi she gave herself Mara even blaming the Almighty.
Interestingly, God seeing darkness in
Genesis chapter one rather declared, “let there be light” and He saw exactly
what He pronounced. So, we can decide now to give this new month a better name
for better experience. You can erase and put away the past. Eph.4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and
clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice. So, I
encourage us no matter the concerns, let us be careful what we declare and
prophesy over our lives especially in any empty season like now. You can use
this opportunity to reverse the negative pattern because many have enslaved
themselves with careless declaration. But God will help us in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father, help us to return with that great
idea for the fulfillment of our purpose in Jesus name.
Action Quote: You went out full so you will not return empty.
