Text: Luke 22:6 (KJV)
And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray
him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
In our
world of today, we see a lot of betrayals and tragedies, and the most painful
part is that these betrayals come from the unexpected people that
are close to us, like our families and friends, this usually results in a lot of doubt,
revenge, and much more. These experiences are usually very difficult to forgive
and forget, but remember we have a new heart for Christ. In Jeremiah 17:9- The heart is deceitful above all things, and
desperately wicked: who can know it? The truth is, people tend to
go out of their way to frustrate other people’s efforts and sought for
opportunities to strike. Therefore, we need to be sensitive.
Interestingly,
Judas Iscariot in the Bible is a typical example. Who could even imagine that Jesus
disciple will betray him all for money just thirty pieces of silver? This makes
us to understand that there is no barrier or limit to betrayal. 2 Corinthians 2:11- Lest Satan
should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. We
should not be ignorant of the devices of the wicked, but instead, we should be
careful so as not to be a victim of their plans. The devil is still influencing
a lot of people today but our anchor is in Godin Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT
1. Oh
Lord, help me not to get to a point of regret for my actions and begin to
return when it is too late, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, betrayal is rampant,so
watch out for escape .
