Hannah Worthy Portion

 

Text: 1Samual 1:5 (KJV)

But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion: for he loved Hannah: but theLord had shut up her womb.

There are some wombs of ideas that it takes God to open. Hannah receivedan expression of such a worthy portion just like Joseph was loved by his father and was given a coat of many colours but his brethren envied him.  Thereis an expression of deep love from God which makes all the difference and end the toiling. Any other portion might never earn or satisfy a longing but only Jesus’s love portion.John3:16 For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. There is this 'BUT'that cannot be wiped away bythe love of man. It takes divinity to heal the wounds in such want.  There could be one thingthe enemy is holding that makes us to be sad. But our God has the ultimate gift that can settle all.

Interestingly, the choicest of all the gifts didnot take away this reproach. The husband even assuring her that heis better than ten sonsdid not move her. Beloved, but as soon as she found grace in the sight of the Lord, her countenance changed. Our desire should be that the Lord will visit usfor a special miracle which is Hannah’s worthy portion. We shall receivean honourable gift and not shamein Jesus name.

1.      Oh Lord,may our waiting time come  to an end as we carry a cheerful disposition in Jesus name.
