Renew to Transform

Text: Romans 12:2 (KJV)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We need to transform the way we thinkas to step up our game. So much is expected from us and this can only be done by a renewal of our minds. The truth is majority of us tend to follow the pattern of this world which is not meant to be so, but we need to change that mindset. In our text of today, it tells us not to follow the behaviors and customs of this world instead we should let God change or transform the way we think and by doing so we will end up doing things that pleases God. We as believers are meant to have this acceptable way of thinking, which is why it says in Psalms 51:10- Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Our action of letting God clean us of our old and unacceptable way leads to us getting a new heart and spirit. Wow!!! This new personality makes us to judge right and we end up following God’s perfect will for our life.  This will make us to enjoy all-round peace and prosperity.

Although we have been transformed by God, we still need to have a constant renewal of our minds and this can be done by our constant study and hearing of the Word of God. It says in Romans 10:17- so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We need to feed on the Word of God on a daily basis; as to be spiritually fat, so that we will never be influenced by the world’s pattern anymore. This transfiguration usually starts from our thoughts and gets to us physically, so be patient because God’s will is definitely good, pleasing, and perfect. And our helper is here too, so you are not alone. Just keep your heart fixed on Him because you will soon see those big dreams become a reality in Jesus name.

1. Father, please help me to subject my mind to positive things that will yield good to my life and in the society, in Jesus name.
