RACE with GOD.

 

Text: Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

We engage in things which become unnecessary loads while we should race with God and lay aside the weight down.  We cannot carry the heavy load andachieve speed and results just like that. Some of these are still weighing us down from living right and they still stand as a yoke which is so little but too difficult to drop, at those times, we need the help of God. Seeing as we already have things surrounding us that we need to deal with, do not add extra load because it hinders speedy achievements. There is something you are pursuing to achieve, so be focused and do not allow distraction.  The crowd may stand as weight, but your mind must be single. James 1:8- A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.. There are specific weaknesses we are still struggling to eliminate and they are slowing us down. We can not continue to manage it in secret and be crying behind close doors.  Do not allow spiritual and parasitic luggages to hinder us. We have arole model JESUS who both began and finished strong. Also, do not lose sight of where you are heading because of the weight; instead, drop off the EXTRA. Do not compare yourself with others, but compare yourself with yourself based on God’s endowment upon you.   

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. The old nature we carried into this world needs to drop because they are not part of God’s kingdom. They have a way to limit our output and relationships, we should instead put on the new nature, therefore drop off all the things and people influencing your decisions or actions negatively.

PRAYER POINT:

1) Oh Lord, help us to live a life shaped by God even in the midst of this perverse generation, in Jesus name.
