Where is your Birthright?.

 

Text: Genesis 25:31-33 (KJV)

³¹And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. ³² And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? ³³ And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

In our current world, we see common character in individuals because people of different ages sell off their inheritances in different fields of life.  Many people have made it a way of life all for the sake of money and fame, but it is not meant to be so. The truth is, every day we wake up, it is another opportunity for us to regain whatever we have lost. That is why the question before us today is - where is my birthright?  You can trace where you missed it and amend your way.  There are blessings given to us from the Father and He has a reason for it because He has a plan for us, and this blessings are meant to enhance those plans. Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Remember, your birthright is an attached baggage that will help fulfill your purpose in destiny

The truth is, we have lost our inheritances because of temporary satisfaction as against the future loads of benefits. Another question is what happens after I have gained this temporary desire like fame and food? Who would have thought that only for food, Esau would have sold his generational blessings. Beloved, we need to preserve this KING’S SEED that will make us to stand before the KING’S PALACE and eat the KING’S MEAT that qualifies us for KING’S APPOINTMENT which involves daily provision that brings favour and tender love. We must be very careful to know what we are signing off and also when we are taking such destiny molding decisions. We should not forget tomorrow’s blessings just for today’s desires because once we take that decision, we cannot reverse it, but instead we become slaves for life. Although, God is merciful to His own, we should value our birthrights. I pray God will help us, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1. LORD, please help me not to compromise because of those temporary benefits in our time, in Jesus name.
