Text: Philippians 2:15 (KJV)
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
We know that the world has become so tense and it is becoming difficult to believe we can truly live an exemplary life, but we as believers, are an exemption. The truth remains, despite the crookedness of this world, we are expected to shine as the light and that is because we have the capacity in us. Isaiah 60:1a- Arise, shine; for thy light is come. We are meant to shine and this is a proof of our Christian faith. Although, the world has a generation of questionable attitudes we are meant to be an exemption. We should never feel like it is impossible for this to happen, but always remember Matthew 19:26b- With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. The truth is, the world’s lifestyle is not supposed to change our kingdom lifestyle, but rather, it is meant to be the opposite, we are meant to have a positive influence on our world no matter what.
Thankfully, each and every one of us carry this great light and we are not allowed to dim it. We should also not make excuses, but rather we are to light up the fire in us. Proverbs 4:18- But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. I urge you not to hide your light, instead begin to influence your direct environment, and in so doing, you will end up impacting multitudes. I tell you, there is more in us than we expected, we just need to hold fast to His word of life, as He continues to unveil Himself to us. I pray God will help us, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Oh Lord, please help us to shine as lights, despite the circumstances in our environment, in Jesus name.
2. Father, may we not dilute the worth of this kingdom because of the pressures of our time, in Jesus name.
Action Quote: You are God’s light for this generation, so do not look down on yourself.
