Text: Isaiah 40:3 (KJV)
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
We are told in our bible that John the Baptist was a voice in the wilderness and He repeatedly said “repent for the kingdom of God is at hand”. But, the truth is he is not the only voice in the wilderness of today, you and I are also God’s sample voices with a specific task. Your wilderness is not the first, so look out for His voice. Therefore, we should learn to search out God’s voice right in that negative encounter of ours as to run with focus and not to imitate other people’s assignment. The wilderness voice cannot be shut no matter the experiences but it rather makes you do exploit in the desert place for the fulfillment of his purpose. It is usually sent as a sample to affect and influence lives. Isaiah 9:8 The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Isreal. It is always sent by the Lord to lighten many generations but it is unfortunate many are not running with the source which is God as the sender. If I may ask, whose call are you responding to? Amazingly, our wilderness is that place where we are with a need to fill and contribute in our vicinity. The society is in dear need of God’s voices. Do you know you are A SENT VOICE and not A CROWD VOICE? God has given us a bold voice, and we are meant to use it to fulfill our God-given assignment and to correct things positively. 2 Timothy 1:7- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We are reminded never to feel intimidated even when our voices seem low or alone, because we are carriers of God’s voice that can move mountains. Mark 11:23- For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. So, do not give up. Let us learn to overlook the distractions but remain focus as a voice knowing that your mandate is from God. Also, you are still a voice speaking, but because it is in a choked atmosphere, that is why it is not heard clearly. Remember, you are made differently, and you are given the assignment to fulfill God’s agenda. Ask yourself, am I the voice my environment is waiting for their deliverance? So, be confident in the unique sample voice given to you by God not just the sound but the content you demonstrate, in that environment as you are on an assignment in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.Father, may my mouth not be shut despite the choked atmosphere, in Jesus name.
2.Oh Lord, please empower my voice to deliver God’s sent message to my world in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, there is still God’s voice in that wilderness of today.
