Text: Isaiah 49:8 (KJV)
Thus saith the Lord, In an
acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped
thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to
establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages.
We as God’s children are evidence of His covenant. He has made His
saving grace available for us, and we can also see evidence of it in the times
of old. The question which I have for you is, did you know we are qualified for
His help and assistance? I wonder what your response is; I hope it is a “yes”,
if it is a “no”, then now is the time to realize it. We are enjoying God’s help
in our lives today because of His covenant promises in the time past. We are
unhurt despite all that we have faced and experienced not because of our
efforts, but because of His promises. Many times, we tend to forget this but it
is time we are reminded of this. He alone has been fighting for us, and we cannot
disregard this help, but instead, we should be grateful. I tell you, if you
even try to take the glory for your life, you will lose it. Luke 17:33- Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose
it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
The truth is, He has a purpose for
preserving us, which is why He is in a covenant agreement to preserve us, and
we need to allow Him to do His work in our life. There may be heat all over,
but by His covenant, we are exempted. Your preservation is not based on your
protective plan but by His outstretched hand of God's mercy. Isaiah 42:6- I the Lord have called thee in righteousness,
and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of
the people, for a light of the Gentiles. I tell you, right in the
deepest of the challenge, He can make fountains to flow to sustain you. So
always remember, you did not merit this redemptive package, but instead, it was
given to you freely by Christ righteousness.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.May the Lord continue to bring us out
of those deepest fountains of storm by His covenant, in Jesus name.
2. Oh Lord, please help us to keep our
own part of the covenant, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Can you look around to see who
has kept you thus far? Beloved, you are moving by His Covenant.
