The Make-up God

 

Text: Joel 2:25 (KJV)

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

I believe when most of us read the topic of today, a lot of things went through our minds, but what we will be talking about today is the make-up God in the sense of restoration. The truth is certain times, we feel like we have lost everything because we are either facing delays or challenges, but I bring good news to you that whatever we have lost, God will make-up or restore all of it. In our text of today, we can see terms like the locust, the cankerworm, caterpillar, and palmerworm are used, they all refer to delays and challenges because these insects gradually eat up leaves until there is none left, but the good news is God will restore all of it. Sometimes, the circumstances of this world slow us down and make us feel like we are not led by God, but I encourage you to cheer up because you have a make-up God. Although those issues come to delay our dreams, we must remember, God is making up for us. Jeremiah 27:22- They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up,and restore them to this place. So I encourage you to have faith in God because He will not only restore (or make-up), but He will also repair, so no matter how long the delays have lasted, the story has changed today. Hallelujah!!!

The truth is I do not know what delays you may be facing, either it was out of carelessness, or it was unintentional, but I encourage you, please do not give up because your restoration has already started due to the coming of Jesus as our saviour. Matthew 17:11- And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. The amazing part is that God will not only restore double, fourfold, sevenfold, but He will restore all the lost years even from generation to generation, and I tell you, you have nothing to pay back except a “thank you Jesus”. Isn’t that wonderful? Proverbs 6:31- But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.All we just need to do is to Accept, Believe, and Confess (ABC) that He is your saviour today and see all your possession return to you. 

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Oh Lord, please make-up for me in areas of my spiritual weaknesses so as to be useful in life, in Jesus name.

2. Father, in any area I have not enjoyed my labour, please restore to me according to your plans, in Jesus name.

3. My Heavenly Father, anywhere I have been rejected because of lack of attraction, please enhance me in Jesus name.
