Text:
Esther 2:17 (KJV)
And
the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in
his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her
head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
In our world of today, we see a lot of people
display varieties of efforts. Some people put in only little effort into
something, and they get results, while some put in a great effort, but with no
result to show (that is they labour like elephants but they eat like the ants)
and this can led to frustration and discouragement. From the text above, we can
see that Esther was crowned queen with only little effort, but it was the
opposite for Vashti, she put in so much effort, but it was fruitless. The truth
is, labour itself is not bad, but when it yields no result, that is when it
becomes a problem, and it is usually a very dynamic moment where one needs to
make a decision. We pray there shall be no more profitless hard labour in our endeavors,
in Jesus name. For us not to experience a fruitless effort, we need to learn to
trust God, because once he breathes upon those efforts, it automatically
becomes profitable. Psalms 127:2- It is vain for you to
rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth
his beloved sleep. The good news is that action of trusting God is
actually the beginning of a turning point, because you end up having the key of
your answers in your hands. Isn’t that
amazing?
Galatians
6:9- And let us not weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we
faint not. The truth
is there is always a due season, and I pray it will not pass us by, in Jesus
name. Living life with nothing to show year after year is something we need to
fight, and this can be done with a decision of hard work. We are expected to
bear fruits, and our fruits are meant to abide and not to be fruitless. Genesis 1:28- And God
blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish
the earth, and subdue it. I tell you, we carry so much attraction, and this attraction is what
qualifies us for a favor, and by so doing, it is meant to yield results. Esther
did not give up; she stood out because of her attraction, which resulted in her
taking the throne. God’s promise to us is to satisfy us with good things. Psalms 103:5- Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so
that thy youth is renew like the eagle’s. God’s tender love has wiped away our fruitless efforts,
so we are to plant and also to reap. I encourage you to walk with this
confidence today and always remember to give thanks back to Him because there
is no more fruitless efforts in your endeavours in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.Father,
please may all my accumulated benefit be released by the power of God, in Jesus
name.
2. Every
power behind a life of struggle and frustration, let them be destroyed, in
Jesus name.
3. Father,
please help me to live to enjoy the work of my hands, in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Ask yourself, how tangible are your efforts, or are they fruitless?
