Purge off the limitations

Text: John15:2 (KJV)

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

It is established that we have a lot of glorious deposits, and they all have to be preserved since they did not come by our effort, but by the grace of God, but we as believers still have a part to play. The major duty of the vineyard dresser is to cut off the fruitless ones and to cleanse the fruit bearing fruits so that they can bear more fruits, but our only work as believers is to create an enabling atmosphere which will be used to sustain the finished work of good fruits in our lives so that it will not be taken away from us. Matthew 3:10- And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. God gave us all these glorious gifts so that we can be productive, but the major limitation to this productivity is sin. God is so merciful that is why He said in Matthew 15:13- But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. So that means the weeds which we are dealing with shall be rooted up, and there will be no hindrance to our productivity.

The truth is that God has done so much for us, but why do we still hold unto those weeds or limitations? Many at times, God has already uprooted the limitations in our life, but we still hold unto it and it is not meant to be so. Most of the time, we cry and say that there is no productivity in our life, and things are not going well in our life and so on; but have you ever remembered that you are the hindrance to your own growth? That is because we still go back to our sin after God has purged it out of our lives. It is the truth, but the simple keys that we need to overcome these limitations are the word of God and prayers. John 17:17-Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. The word of God cleanses our hearts as you hear and read it on a daily basis and it also washes away the unwanted weeds as you continue to dwell in his presence. So I urge you to always hold unto it, abide in it and get rooted in the right source which is JESUS. I pray God will help us, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.Father, please purge off all obstacles around us that are growing like a weed to chock our life and productivity, in Jesus name.

2. Father, please may every limitation from within no longer survive around me, in Jesus name.

3. Oh Lord, may all those negative habits that have been difficult to drop finally drop, in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Do not allow the pain of pruning or trimming to hinder that purging away process.
