Worship is a privilege

Text:Psalm 100:1-2 (KJV)

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

In our world of today, there are many disturbances and noises everywhere, but we have to distinguish the pleasant ones from the unpleasant ones. Our text of today, tell us to make a joyful noise and to bring a gift of laughter to applaud this good and faithful God, this is an exhibition of a pleasant one. Firstly, have you ever realized that your password to the gain of access to His secrets is your Worship? This worship has to be a genuine and pleasant one. There are various reasons for worshipping Him, which include because He is Good, He is God, He is Generous, and He is Generational. The amazing part is that although He has it all, He still inhabits our worship. What a great privilege. We should express our reverence and adoration to our great God. Although He expects worship as our response for all the good things and mercies He has showered on us, we should not miss out this privilege, because His word said, if you keep quiet, He will raise stones to praise Him instead; so I urge you not to misuse this great privilege.

As His children, we should develop an unquestionable level of devotion to Him. We should express our worship with our hearts and our services. Everything we do daily should have a form of adoration in it. I tell you, worship is better experienced than explained. John4:24- God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Our worship needs to be sincere. The next question we should ask ourselves is, what do we produce after our worship? This is a very serious question because there should be proof. But it should not be hatred, sorrow, arrogance, etc. instead, we should produce the fruits of the spirit after our worship experience in Jesus name. We need to get to that point, where we have become aware of His presence around us, and by our worship, His presence should be a response to His acknowledgment. We are meant to experience a sense of peace and freedom with His presence being present. It is beyond raising holy hands. Christ lives in us and desires a fellowship with us. We need to worship Him properly so that He can continue to reveal Himself, and we can understand Him better. The best part is that we have the privilege to worship him anywhere and anytime.

Isaiah 6:3- And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. The only thing He requires or needs from us is our adoration despite all the free gifts He is giving to us. Is that not cheap enough to offer? So, always make out time to express your reverence to your creator. We should not allow our worship to be scarce either from our lips, resources, talents, dressing, character, association, likes or dislikes, etc. Always ask yourself, how did I return worship to my God in all my endeavours today? Psalms 95:1- O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. We can develop a worship pattern, even in this season. We can use every opportunity and platform to worship God. Remember, always reflect both inwardly and outwardly on His supremacy over your life and situations. I pray God will help us, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.       Oh Lord, help me to develop a personal time of worship and help me to remember, no one can worship God for me in Jesus name.

2.       Father, I cancel every form of distraction around me that is affecting my heartfelt worship in Jesus name.

3.       Heavenly Father, may worship and rejoicing not cease in my endeavours, as I develop the spirit and life of worship, in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Can you make out time and take any position now to worship Him? Use any song of your choice.
