Waiting is not wasting

Text: Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Friends, waiting is not always easy, especially when you know what you desire but cannot determine when it will happen. Hence, many people become frustrated during waiting seasons because they measure progress only by visible achievements. Yet, some of life's most valuable lessons are developed in seasons when nothing appears to be changing. So, waiting on God is not simply about postponing your expectations. It is about learning to depend on Him, developing spiritual strength, and allowing His Word to shape your mind and decisions.  Habakkuk 2:3 - For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. For instance, David was anointed king long before he occupied the throne. Then, between the promise and its fulfilment, he experienced different seasons that prepared him for responsibility. Remember, waiting on God can renew your strength but preparation is an important part of purposeful waiting. Yes, you may be waiting, but you are not wasting. God is working, God is preparing you, and God is positioning you.

Amazingly, the journey of every preparation and waiting is also part of progress. So don’t see it as wasting time. Psalm 27:14 - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Do not waste your waiting season comparing your journey with someone else's achievements. Instead, use this period to grow in wisdom, strengthen your character, develop your gifts, and remain faithful in your present responsibilities. You may not be where you desire to be yet, but you can still become stronger, wiser, and better prepared. And God will help us so don’t allow comparison to rob you of gratitude and growth in the waiting season in Jesus name.

Prayer Point: Lord, renew my strength and help me to use every season productively as you teach me to wait with faith, wisdom, and a grateful heart in Jesus name.

Action Quote: Friends, do not spend your waiting season wishing your life away but grow, learn to prepare because there is value in every season.
