Text: John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto
you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Friends, life has always remain a mixture of good
and bad occurrences, soft and hard time. It is an adventure filled with
betrayals and ridiculous happenings. Nevertheless, the Lord Jesus emphatically
made it clear that in spite of all that, He has overcome the world. Yes,
whatever you are going through Jesus has overcome them. This implies that
because He has overcome the world, there is a comfort for you. There is hope
for you, not at the mercy of your enemies or of your own strength, but through
the grace redemption offers. Isaiah 61:3 - To
appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the
oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD,
that he might be glorified.
Interestingly, despite the people whose objective
is to ridicule your situation instead of consoling you, the Comforter has come
to wipe your tears away. He has come to open a new chapter for you for a
brighter future. He has come to give you the real definition of what comfort
is. Hence, comfort does not mean there will be no challenges but He assures us
that in the midst of turbulent situations the Comforter is with you. As He was
with the three Hebrews boys in the furnace, so is He with you today. Daniel
3:24-27. Also, He was with Daniel in the lion’s den. Daniel 6. Remember, He is
with you when the going gets tough even with no other hope available. He is
with you when you feel lonely and in the storm of life. So, the Comforter has
surely come to rewrite your story and make your face shine again. Therefore,
find solace in Him today in Christ Jesus.
Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, strengthen my faith to
always be conscious of Your presence with me, and help me never to lose focus
on You no matter what life brings my way, in Jesus name.
Action Quote: Remember, God is greater than
that high mountain before you, if you can keep trusting Him for the miraculous,
today.
