Text: Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we
shall reap, if we faint not.
Friends, one of the most difficult experiences in life is
continuing to do what is right when the results are not immediately visible.
You may have prayed consistently, worked diligently, served faithfully, or
invested your time in helping others, yet the outcome you desire may seem
delayed. It is in such moments that discouragement can begin to weaken our
commitment. But as believers do not grow
weary in doing good because there is a season of reaping. So, faithfulness
matters even when its rewards are not immediately apparent. 1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be
ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as
ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. However, this scripture
is not a promise that every effort will produce exactly the result we expect or
within our preferred timeframe. Rather, it encourages us to remain steadfast in
doing what is right and not abandon good works simply because progress seems
slow.
Interestingly, we saw in the life of Noah who continued with
the assignment God gave him, also Nehemiah remained committed to the rebuilding
of Jerusalem's wall despite opposition. Their examples show us the importance
of perseverance in fulfilling God's assignments. James
1:12-Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he
shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love
him. So, if you are becoming tired, take time to rest, renew your
strength in God, and evaluate your approach where necessary, today. Remember, perseverance
does not mean ignoring your limitations; it means refusing to let
discouragement become the final word on your commitment to what is right in
Jesus name.
Prayer Point: Father, strengthen me when I become weary. Renew
my commitment to doing what is right as I work diligently with results. In
Jesus' name.
Action Quote: Friends, do not abandon a good
work simply because you have not yet seen the result you hoped for but remain
faithful.
