Love That Stays

Text: Ruth 1:16–17 (KJV)
And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go... thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God."

Friends, true love is not built on convenience but on commitment. After the death of her husband, Ruth had every reason to leave Naomi and return to her former life. Instead, she chose to remain with Naomi because of genuine love and loyalty. Ruth's decision teaches us that godly love remains steadfast even when circumstances become difficult. In a world where many relationships are based on personal gain, God calls His children to demonstrate faithful love that reflects His own character.

Amazingly, God's love for us never changes despite our weaknesses and failures. Romans 8:38–39 reminds us that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. As believers, we are called to extend that same enduring love to our families, friends, and even strangers. Love that stays brings healing, encouragement, and lasting impact. So, let your love today be rooted in Christ and not in changing emotions in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, help me to love faithfully and selflessly, reflecting Your unfailing love in every relationship, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Action Quote: Remember, true love is measured by commitment, not convenience.
