Text: 1 Samuel 1:17 (KJV)
Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
Friends, after pouring out her heart before God, Hannah received a simple yet powerful word from Eli: "Go in peace." Although her prayer had not yet been answered visibly, peace entered her heart because she had entrusted her burden to God. Yes, she was no longer sad. Remember, true peace is not the absence of problems but being able to build your confidence in that God is in control. Philippians 4:6-7 teaches that when we present our requests to God with thanksgiving, His peace guards our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Amazingly, we see moments when the greatest miracle God gives us before changing our circumstances is His peace because it is the beginning of our miracle. Hence, we enjoy that inner peace that passes understanding. Hannah left the sanctuary with renewed confidence because she believed God had heard her prayer. Her situation remained the same temporarily, but her heart had changed. When we surrender our anxieties to God, we no longer need to carry the weight of fear. Therefore, let us walk in His peace, trusting that He is already working behind the scenes for our good today, in Jesus name.
Prayer Point:
Lord, fill my heart with Your perfect peace that flows inwardly and help me to trust You even before I see the answer to my prayers in Jesus' name.
Action Quote: Remember, peace begins when you place your burdens into God's hands as it leaves your heart.
