Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.
Friends, God does not anoint us without a purpose. His calling and empowerment upon our lives are meant to help us fulfil His plan. Sometimes, we may feel unnoticed or unqualified, but God sees what others may not see and prepares us for His purpose. So, relax in His agenda. David was anointed as king while he was still a young shepherd, yet his journey to the throne took time. Though, He faced challenges, rejection, and difficult seasons, but God was preparing him for the assignment ahead.
Amazingly, God has placed gifts, abilities, and opportunities in each of us for a reason. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another.” Therefore, do not compare yourself with others or despise your present season. Seek God, develop what He has placed in you, and be willing to serve where He leads daily in Jesus name.
Prayer Point:
Father, help me to understand the purpose for which You have anointed and gifted me. Give me grace to fulfil my assignment faithfully, in Jesus' name.
Action Quote: Friends, remember that God has anointed and gifted you for a purpose; discover and develop for His glory.
