A Shelter in the Storm

Text: Psalm 46:1–2 (KJV)

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea

Friends, God is our shelter in every storm, no matter their location and at any intensity. When life becomes difficult maybe as a result of disappointment, or loss, we can run to Him because He is our refuge, strength, and ever-present help. His covering is consistent in every situation.  Sometimes, we depend on people or our own strength for security, but human strength can disappoint but God never fails. Therefore, when storms arise, pray, trust His Word, and remain in His presence. Psalm 91:2 says, “He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

Amazingly, the disciples also experienced this when a great storm arose while Jesus was with them in the boat. Hence, Jesus calmed the storm, showing them that His presence is greater than their circumstances (Mark 4:37–39). Therefore, do not let life's storms overwhelm you. Isaiah 41:10 - “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” Keep your eyes on Jesus, trust Him, and remain secure in His presence. The storm may be strong, but your Shelter is stronger. I pray that God will hide us through the time of storm in Jesus name.

Prayer Point:
Father, thank You for being my refuge and shelter. Help me to trust You and remain secure in Your presence through the storms of life in Jesus' name.

Action Quote: Friends, when life's storms arise, run to God as your shelter and always trust His presence through the season.
