Text: Psalm 103:2 (KJV)
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and
forget not all his benefits.
Friends, with life unending challenges and
distractions, it is easy to focus on what is missing rather than what God has
already done. Yet, this scripture calls us to intentionally count and remember
God’s blessings. Remember, every day carries visible and invisible proofs of
His goodness because there are many blessings closed from our sight. However, when
we begin to count these blessings, we realize that God has been more faithful
than we often acknowledge. Let counting of God’s blessing be our attitude this
season because it shifts our perspective. Psalm
107:1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy
endureth for ever. So, instead of complaining, we now begin to
appreciate. Instead of anxiety, we experience peace. Gratitude has the power to
silence doubt and strengthen our trust in God. We must also remind ourselves
daily of God’s goodness even when our situation may not look perfect. Let’s
learn to count the blessings and you will see that God has never left you
without a testimony. Psalm 40:5 Many, O Lord
my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done… they are more than can be
numbered.
However, counting God’s blessings should not be a
one-time event but a daily lifestyle. From the little things to the big
breakthroughs, every blessing matters. 1
Thessalonians 5:18 encourages us - In every thing give thanks: for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. When you cultivate a
thankful heart, you invite more of God’s presence into your life, and your joy
becomes full. I encourage you today: let gratitude become your language. The
more you count God’s blessings, the more you will see reasons to praise Him as
your life will overflow with joy in Jesus name
Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, teach me to see and count Your blessings in my life daily and help me
to live with a grateful heart and never take Your goodness for granted in
Jesus’ name.
Action Quote: Remember, when you count the blessings, you will realize
that God has done more than enough.
