Text: 1 Corinthians 1:19-20(KJV)
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing
the understanding of the prudent. Where
is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of
this world?
Friends,
we must move beyond facts which is mere knowledge and walk into wisdom as it is
the application of the truth based on God’s perspective. So, it is not in
knowing as many know much and still make poor decisions and choices. Though,
the world is accelerating with speed in knowledge, God calls us for divine
insight and not just intelligence. Yes, we can see the knowledge of Solomon how
it distinguished him as a King. James 1:5
- God gives wisdom generously to those who ask. Remember,
we can learn many things, but wisdom is received
when we humble our hearts before God and choose obedience over mere
understanding. So, wisdom begins with fear of God and not how much you know as
to enjoy Godly direction in life. Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy
is understanding.
Interestingly,
it is wisdom that helps us to guide decisions when facts are insufficient. Yes,
it shapes our characters which helps us to align our actions towards God will. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift
is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no
variableness, neither shadow of turning. It is not a life of personal pride rather focus to wisdom
from above that brings about endless peace instead of confusion. We can see
despite great knowledge everywhere in the world today, we still live in
confusion, brokenness and unfulfilled life. I pray we shall seek God for the
application of divine wisdom today, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Heavenly Father, teach me to apply
divine wisdom in my thoughts, decisions and daily choices and not just my
experience in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember knowledge alone does not guarantee right
living as wisdom goes beyond facts.
