Text: Psalm 126:2
(KJV)
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with
singing; then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done
great things for them.
Friends, before you can express joy from your mouth, it must come from a regenerated heart filled with Joy. Yes, you can’t be an ingrate in your heart and be displaying genuine laughter rather it will be a plastic smiles that can proceed. But, we are encouraged to create laughter that comes without preparation, but flows from within. When you receive any good news no matter how little, laughter comes immediately. But, we can still be glad without a tangible evidence just by the voice of Gods promises. For instance, Sarah, Hannah and many others in the Bible laughed with changes in their countenance when they experienced new encounter. Psalms 30:11- Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; thou has put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness. It is a sudden switch from sadness to an outward change in which we must be intentional.
Amazingly, the
old garment is removed and you wear a new look not based on make-up but a heart
filled with the word of life. Indeed, laughter is the best medicine that we
need in a time like this. Proverbs 17:22- A joyful
heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. It is a lifestyle we must develop as
believers because life is full of pressure and oppression which hinders joy.
But today, God shall turn our captivity into dancing like a dream in the night
and this seems too good to be true. Therefore,
you can decide to live a life of gladness, laughter, singing, dancing, and
rejoicing and in so doing we begin to embrace our expectations as a testimony
in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father put off my sackcloth of bitterness as I wear the garment of laughter as an oil of rejoicing in my life in Jesus name.
Action Quote: Remember, as you rejoice and laugh today, your reason for joy
and gladness will not cease.
