Text: Mark 4:37-38 (KJV)
And
there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it
was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow:
and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Friends, there are still storms of life that threatens our
peace in our journey of purpose. Unfortunately, many depend so much on their conscience
and leave God until the matter gets out of hand. Isaiah
43:2 When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the
rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou
shalt not be burned; neither shall the flames kindle upon thee. In our
text of today, we see that the disciples were fighting the wind by themselves
until it got to a point when the storm reached its peak, and the ship was
filled with water before they got Jesus involved. This is the mistake of many today. Let’s learn to get the saviour involved from
the take - off.
Amazingly, we should learn to involve the saviour of the
world no matter the storms of life. Our wisdom and strength can fail you when
your confidence is on mortal man. He is the Master over that issue; you just need
to recognize Him as your MASTER today and He will never fail. Psalms 73:26- My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the
strength of my heart, and my portion forever. And if I may ask, is Jesus in your boat and
fast asleep without you involving him while you are struggling to battle in
that challenge? Remember, Jesus is the Master in all fields of life. So, immediately
they woke Him, He rebuked the wind and there was great calmness. My prayer this
morning is that Jesus will rebuke that storm in all areas of our lives in Jesus
name.
PRAYER POINT:
1) Father, help us to subdue self-wisdom
in the battles of our lives as to lean on the Master in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, Jesus can be inactive in your boat of life. So
involve Him now
