New Song and New Praise

 

Text: Psalms 40:3 (KJV)

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

I would like to ask this question, what is the first thing you do once you wake up ie the moment you open your eyes?  We should thank God for the opportunity given to you again? Many of us take waking up as a norm, but that is not meant to be so. Many might have had plans for today, but it is to no avail because none of those things matter anymore. As believers and true children of God, we are meant to wake up with a new song in a new style. This song is like a greeting to God which is like Good morning God Almighty. We know how once a child wakes up, he/she goes to greet their parent, the same way it is for us as children of God. This greeting to God is like an offering to Him because He made us to be alive, but before you can thank God or sing a new song to Him, you have to reflect on His wonders in your life. The greatest wonder among all of them is the gift of life, it is not the money or the food, because once a person dies, none of those things matter; so we are meant to sing a new song to Him for that. This new song is not an anyhow song, but it is a song that reflects His great works in our life and we are meant to sing it joyfully and loudly even with a style. Psalms 33:3- Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. 

The truth is, God has done many wonderful things for us in this new season, so we should be grateful about them. If you cannot think of one, He has brought you out of the horrible pit and from miry and slippery clay (like that is the worst scenario that can ever happen to you). He basically delivered you from that situation you just came out from. It is not by your power or might. I tell you, this new song we are talking about is the one which can turn situations around. It is an effortless and noiseless song, to be frank, I cannot even explain it. It is the one that makes people wonder “what kind of God is he/she serving?” Matthew 8:27- But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this……Isaiah 42:10- Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. This new song is also the one that can convert that your long prayer request to an endless testimony which would make the world shake, so why miss this privilege. It is never too late to start singing one; where you are right now start singing and see all your prayer list become a testimony list because singing is also a seed of appreciation. Hallelujah!!!!!

PRAYER POINTS: 

1. God, please help us to always see what God is doing so that we can sing a new song in Jesus name.  

2. Oh Lord, please cause our new song to bring forth a testimony that will transform someone in Jesus name.
