Text: Nahum 1:7 (KJV)
The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
I believe most of you have experienced this good God at one time or the order. Although, this is a common experience, the truth is, God has really been good to us and we constantly encounter His goodness in different dimensions. Truthfully, it will be an understatement if I asked you your recent personal experience of His goodness, because to be frank, we still see God’s goodness dwelling with us even now. If you cannot remember any, take a few seconds to think because if you think, you will definitely find something to be grateful about. The truth is, God’s goodness radiates all around us, and He is good and will continue to be good. We need to always remember that He is good and is strong enough despite those roaring storms. Psalm 100:5- For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
If you try to ask yourself, why is He good to me? You might end up feeling like you are not worth His good works but in that state, you must remember it is His mercy and love that has kept you this far. Also remember, God is good because He is great and loving in all His dealings from generation to generation. We are blessed with this good God and He is always available either in big or small issues, or in good or bad times. We should celebrate His name and give back thanks to Him because He deserves it. Psalm 135:3- Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. Although, we are enjoying right now, but there is more in store for us and we need to be grateful even for the ones to come, so always remember you are worth His goodness.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, please help me to hold strong to this good God forever, in Jesus name.
2. Father, thank you for making a great light to shine even in the midst of our darkness because of your goodness, in Jesus name.
Action Quote: Remember, you are still enjoying the goodness of God from your fathers?
