Speak to the STORM

 

Text: Mathew 8:26-27(KJV)

And he saith unto them, why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and sea obey him!

Do you know, to enjoy great calmness you have a part to play and not to watch events. We need to speak to the storm by faith with absolute confidence in our God. The truth is we all face different types or size of wind or storms in our various fields of life on a daily basis.. Unfortunately, there is no time table attached to the crises it just comes and pops up like that, but we can have a schedule of process of preparation because we can actually rebuke the wind.   There is need to equip ourselves with the right Word of God for each wind of life. So we should ask ourselves the same question Jesus asked the disciples - “WHY ARE WE FEARFUL?” It says in Exodus 14:14- The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Certain times, those storms can be God originated because it is all for our experience and maturity. There are also some that are Satan activated but the amazing part is that you can handle it by the authority given to you to rebuke the wind and not to keep quiet. And the final source is self motivated. These are situations we provoked by our attitudes and disobedience.  The good part is that we have a way out, we just need to confess and repent of our shortcomings. In all of those winds or storms, the remedy and hope always is JESUS. So always remember Him in those moments by exercising your faith in Him. 1Peter5:7- Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. This is not a time to murmur - why me, instead speak to that storm in faith because you have authority in your mouth. Do not keep quiet. Isaiah26:3- Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. So I tell you, no matter the magnitude of that ugly situation blowing like a wind, friends it will cease with great calmness in Jesus name. 

PRAYER POINTS: 

1. Oh Lord, help me to speak quietness to every storm I am going through right now in Jesus name.

2. Father, I decree great testimony in that issue as my mind is stayed in the LORD in Jesus name.
